A responsive e-commerce website for the bakery 'tartalicious'.
Tart-a-licious is one of a kind French pastry destination that specializes exclusively in Tarts and is constantly experimenting with flavor combinations. The chef wanted an e-commerce website that was easy to use, showcased their products beautifully, told their story and reflected their brand
The project started with research to understand the potential audience for the website and what were they looking to accomplish.
Online research and talking to the baker/owner helped me identify the primary audience and create personas.
I also browsed local bakery websites, e-commerce sites to study the optimal checkout experience, clean showcase of products, navigation flow and content.
Competitive research and user interviews helped me create user stories and identify the functional requirements from the users perspective.
An in depth conversation with the business owner helped me understand the business goals.
Consolidating all my findings I identified the content and functionalities needed on the website.
I used card sort to organize topics into logical categories and created a site map for the website.
Used the site map and functional requirements to sketch out a few navigation ideas (for desktop, tablet, phone) and tested them with a user set.
Refined the wireframes based on user feedback.Used these wireframes to create high fidelity layouts.
Added interaction to the high fidelity layout using InVision and conducted a few rounds of user testing to refine the design.
These high fidelity layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile were handed to the developer.
The home screen layout for desktop, tablet, mobile.
The about screen layout for desktop, tablet, mobile.
The menu screen layout for desktop, tablet, mobile.
The find us screen layout for desktop, tablet, mobile.
