REBRANDing Graph connect - world’s largest graph database conference

GraphConnect is the most ambitious graph technology global conference. It brings together industry leaders, graph experts and developers from around the globe to inform, educate and inspire. We wanted to up-level the conference and offer attendees a richer experience. A professional, polished and modern brand was needed to support this vision. As the lead designer, I conceptualized and crafted a new identity for GraphConnect.

 
 
 

Uncovering the bRAND PROMISE

It was key to understand the event in detail, its audience and our business objective. I started with extensive research - reviewed past event surveys/collateral and conducted stakeholder interviews. I lead brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and leaders to align on the brand promise - use the power of data connections to build technology of the future

A BRAND INSPIRED BY CONNECTIONS

My vision for the identity was one that communicated connections and forward movement. The final logo is a stylized rendition of forward movement created with connected data nodes - implying that connecting your data will propel you forward. The branding exercise also included generating a tagline.
